In 2014 we brought together organisations who work with older people, adults with disabilities and unpaid carers, to showcase good practise, tools and resources available to support learning through technology.

Learn My Way

We have many courses on Learn My Way that can make life easier for older people. You can learn how to manage your money, how to stay safe online, and even how to use the internet to explore hobbies and interests! Staying healthy is a great topic for older learners - check out our page on looking after your mental health for some handy resources for supporting those at risk of dementia or other mental health problems.

External resources

There are some external resources you can use to help older learners. Digital Unite has a wide range of guides for getting up to speed with technology, and GCF Learn Free has some useful and interesting in-depth tutorials on Internet Safety.
